Message I went to my shop today to have some problems looked at and cured. It ends up they are keeping the Z overnight. Anyhow, the guy who owns the place (One of the most respected Z shops in CA) and I were talking and he mentioned that he could get a buyer for my car, a stock 93 ZTT, Black/Tan, ~88k miles (mechanically excellent, paint is okay) within a half hour who will pay whatever I ask. So I casually bring up the figure $20000 (not planning to sell the Z) and ask if the guy would pay it. The shop owner says the guy will pay whatever so long as he finds an extrememly clean Z (extremeley well kept and maintained). Mine, happens to be one of those mechanically flawless examples. So with this, and the opinions of the shops guys who know this buyer, this is a very likely sale.
Now I love my Z. I haven't modded it, I'm just about to put Michelin Pilot Sports on tommorow and having about $700 worth of wear parts replaced (including labor). The only thing that needs to be replaced after tommorow are the front brake pads because my shop didn't have the Porterfield R4S race pads in stock today (The whole rotor turning, bleeding and replacing racing brake fluid and pad job will be ~$350). This is the first car I ever bought, and I have pampered it since I've owned it for about 1 year.
As much as I love this Z, it isn't as pristine as I would like. I was planning on selling it once I came across a mint 94-95TT with less than 10k miles. But the reason I said two years is when I can afford to get a daily driver(and insure two cars) in addition to a Z and have my own personal garage, not like the gated garage I have now in an apartment complex. I wanted to keep my next ZTT perfect and use it for fun only (although thats all I really use my Z for now) but keep miles off to keep it better than showroom quality. But these conditions can't be provided if I buy the mint Z now. Since I only have a little more schooling left and then it is off to med school, the extra money would be helpful. I could easily have all my needs met by a much cheaper car but it would definatly take a toll on me (The Z means more that anyone can imagine (Its been a ten year dream car for me)).
Thats the story of a man and his Z. Any suggestions on what to do at the first crossroad of my life? If I do sell it, what should I get? I was thinking something like an 1988 BMW M5?
Sorry this was so long, I was just piecing together my thoughts. I really value and appreciate your opinions and this board, it has definately been a great place to hang out and selling the Z won't get rid of me!

Regards,

Salah
